School Updates

Steps we are taking:

Guideline for our current students:

Q International School is now open for in-person classes. For students who are still uncomfortable in public, we also offer hybrid and online classes following the SEVP Immigration Guidelines.

Also, the city encourages all people to cover their mouths and nose when in public. If you must go out, please put on a cloth mask or medical mask. This will protect others and yourselves and save lives!

  1. Classes will be held either in-person or on our existing online platform, Canvas, on https://qis.instructure.com. You will receive instructions on how to access classes online via email.

  2. We are closely monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and federal, state and local agencies to help ensure actions we’re taking are in line with the latest CDC recommendations and guidance and the needs to extend school’s closure.

  3. If you need to talk to a staff, please call or email us and make an appointment:

    1. School phone number: (619) 450-2224

    2. Kesley: k[email protected]

    3. Jennifer: [email protected]

  1. Log in to Canvas https://qis.instructure.com or arrive on campus on time for your scheduled classes!!! Your attendance and grades will be recorded based on the time you log in and the duration you stay over the scheduled class time.

  2. It’s important that you maintain your attendance at 80% and grades at 70% for the purpose of your F-1 visa and form I-20.

  3. When on campus, always wear a mask when you are in shared areas, such as the hallways and bathrooms.

  4. Check your email regularly.

  5. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  6. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or alcohol-based hand sanitizers regularly.

  7. Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  8. Stay home when you are sick.

  9. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. If you use a tissue, wash your hands afterward.

  10. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

  11. Make sure your health insurance is in effect in case of an emergency. If your health insurance expired and you need to purchase one from the school, please contact Jennifer at [email protected] immediately
